Sealants Fixtech MSP!%

Sealants Fixtech MSP 15

No More Corking of your wooden boat. No more sealant problems when installing new gear over old sealants …..

FixSeal MSP15 is a high quality, single-component flexible adhesive joint sealant that is suitable for above and below the waterline applications. Based on MS-Polymer®, it is chemically neutral and fully elastic. Suitable for use in low movement structural joints in marine, it is also suitable for automotive, aerospace, and construction applications where a tough flexible adhesive sealant is required. FixSeal MSP15 is available in Black, White Product:

solvents, halogens and acids

  • Minimal health and safety considerations
  • Can be painted with all water based paints many other systems
  • Resistance to many chemicals
  • No staining of porous materials such as natural stone, granite, marble, etc

Applications:

Sealing and bonding in the building industry. Sealing areas with high traffic, floor joints and low movement joints, including joints in high rise constructions. for all metals inc. aluminium, stainless, steel, PVC, fibreglass, concrete, glass, timber and more. Connection joints in sheet metal fabrication. Sealing and bonding in carbodies, caravans, buses, boats, ships, aircraft and many other transport units.

Packaging:

FixSeal MSP15 is a high quality single component joint sealant with high adhesive strength. It is based on MS-Polymer®, which is chemically neutral and fully elastic. For use in low movement joints in construction, automotive, marine and aerospace areas where a mould resistant tough flexible rubber is required.

Characteristics:

  • Excellent adhesion on porous and non porous surfaces
  • High performance mechanical properties
  • Flexible elastic rubber – movement accomodation up to 20%
  • Assessed under criteria of NOHSC Australia and is considered as non-toxic, Certificate No. 2146 – No bubble formation within sealant (in high temperature and humidity applications)
  • Primerless adhesion (except where capillary water pressure can occur) Very easy to tool and finish
  • Good extrudability and UV resistance

High bond strength on nearly all surfaces

Shelflife Joint dimensions:
12 months in unopened packaging in a cool and dry Minimal width: 2mm (bonding) place at temperatures between +5°C – 25°C. 5mm (joints)

Resistance to chemical agents:
Good resistance to water, aliphatic solvents, mineral oils, grease, diluted inorganic acids and alkalis. Poor resistance to aromatic solvents, concentrated acids, and chlorinated hydrogens

Surfaces:
Nature:
Priming:
applied. Non porous substrates may be cleaned with acetone or wax and grease remover. We recommend preliminary compatibility tests previous to application.
Maximum Width:10mm (bonding) 30mm (joints)
Minimum Depth: 5mm (joints)
Recommendation: with of joint = 2x depth of joints

Application:

Health- and Safety Recommendation:
Apply the usual industrial hygiene.

Remarks:

  • waterbased paints, however due to the large number of paints and varnishes available we strongly suggest a compability test before application. The drying time of alkyd resin based paints may increase.
  • FixSeal MSP15 can be applied to a wide variety of surfaces. Due to the fact that specific substrates such as plastics, polycarbonate, etc, may differ from manufacturer to manufacturer, we recommend preliminary compatibilty test.
